Linda retired as Executive Director of Leadership Spokane in July 2014, having served in that capacity since October 1999. Other career experience includes development director of Seattle Lutheran High School, community relations director of Columbia Lutheran Home, and staff positions at the Journal of Financial & Qualitative Analysis and the Journal of Contemporary Business.
Linda is a judge for Washington Business Week, Invent Washington and Future Business Leaders of America. She is a greeter for the Moore Turner Heritage Gardens and is a member of the Cathedral of St. John Landscape Association and Altar Guild.
Special interests include sustainable building, lean office practices, hiking and backpacking, wine making, cross country skiing, gardening, bird watching, piano, reading and needlepoint.
After graduating from the University of Idaho, Linda moved to Seattle where she lived and worked until 1999. She is married to W. Thomas Soeldner, who is a retired Lutheran pastor and consultant for organizations in transition. They live in Valleyford, in a solar-powered, straw bale house on 40 acres.
Linda has two children. Son Marshall lives in Yuma, AZ (with wife Sarah and daughters Charlotte and Shannon and son Connor) and is a US Border Patrol Officer. Daughter Erika lives in South Egremont, MA (with husband Rich and son Wayland) and is the Technical Writing Director for Bard College.
