Michael
Adolfae
Mike is Director of
Community Development for the
City
of Spokane.
Mike joined the City of
Spokane
in 1973 in the Planning Department following
five years working for the City of
Seattle in city
planning and community development.
Mike was born in
London, Ontario, Canada
and split his childhood years between
Vancouver,
British Columbia and Los Angeles, California.
Having shunned a life of surfing, Mike
returned to the Pacific Northwest to attend Gonzaga University
and received a Bachelor of Arts in
Humanities in 1968.
Mike holds the
professional designation of CCIM, Certified
Commercial Investment Member, from the
National Association of Realtors and has
held the position of President,
Vice-President and Treasurer of the local
CCIM Chapter.
Mike is currently the
Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the
Friends of Seven. He is also on the Board of
Directors of the Business Development
Corporation of Eastern
Washington and the Community
Board of Directors of the Northwest Business
Development Corporation.
Mike is married to Molly,
an art specialist with Spokane Public
Schools. They have four adult sons, one a
project manager for the Alaska RR, one an
elementary school art/math teacher, one an
elementary school teacher and one studying
viticulture and enology.
AND, all four of our sons were raised
on public television!
