 A
former attorney and business owner, Bob
now serves on the Board of Directorsof
Spokane Public Schools.
An Army brat, he was raised at various
military installations up and down the
east coast and in Germany, received his
Bachelors degree in economics from
Princeton University, J.D. from
University of Virginia, and L.L.M. in
Taxation from New York University. He
spent 18 years with the Spokane law firm
of Lukins & Annis, P.S. practicing tax
and business transactional law, and also
served on the Executive Committeeof the
Business Law section of the Washington
State Bar Association for about 7 of
those years.
In 1994Bob and his wife Dianne became
franchisees with Great Clips hair salons
in the Spokane/North Idaho area, and
eventually owned 15 salons before
selling the company in 2007. The
franchisor, which operates 2900 salons
in North America, named them "Franchisee
of the Year" in 1996.
Bob was elected to the School Board in
November 2007.He has three adult
children, and has been a member of
Friends of Seven since moving to Spokane
in 1981.
