Two hours of vintage on Monday nights!

Just a quick note about “Market Warriors” my new Monday evening (9p.m.) favorite program. I wrote about in last week’s blog. Here's a quick synopsis about the Monday, July 30 episode.

This week we find the pickers: Miller (the only woman), John, Bob and Kevin at the Lakewood 400 Antiques Market outside Atlanta, Georgia. Their task was to find vintage advertising … one of my personal favorite collectibles, and the pickings are good. They are up for the challenge and among the treasures they snag is a rare Red Rock Cola piece, a Sterling Card case and antique hobbyhorse. Can't wait to see what the hobbyhorse looks like.

What they collect is ultimately auctioned off at Cowan’s Auction in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The programs airs immediately following Antiques Roadshow at 8 p.m. – an episode from Philadelphia, PA-Hour 3 this week.

Incidentally, if you’re into sports memorabilia, you’ll love this: a trio of autographed baseballs feature signatures from the 1944 St. Louis Cardinals, Ted Williams in his 1939 rookie season and an authenticated autograph from Babe Ruth himself in the late 1940s are all unveiled. Their auction estimate? A cool $34,000 to $46,000.

So, two hours of just plain fun and shopping to boot for all of you antique junkies, vintage warriors and Farm Chicks followers.
