A program that’s already aired this week really peaked my interest as I read about it on this week’s schedule.
It’s a regional story about Central Idaho’s Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness which was heretofore unknown to me.
I don’t get out enough, it’s true.
Well… not only do they choose a wilderness for their honeymoon, but who gets to spend a year honeymooning after the wedding nuptials?
Here’s what the description says: “what begins as a romantic adventure becomes something much greater for the couple - and a tale of hope and celebration for every life trying to make it in the unforgiving heart of the wilderness.”
Yeah I bet.
Not only that but it also alludes to the fact that in these “endless rugged mountains, wild rivers, forests, and deep canyons define this land - a home to numerous species of wildlife including wolves, who have just returned after 50 years of near absence.” A mystery solved perhaps.
Anyway I’m going to watch the full episode tomorrow after I catch up on sleep and homework. More and more there are entire episodes online that you can watch at your leisure. Here’s the link to Nature: River of No Return.
Check out the KPSP Public TV website to look for other programs that are available to watch in their entirety!
