Get free iTunes app

By Judith Spitzer

PBS recently launched another new app for iPhones, iPads and iPod touch that features more than 300 hours of free video, including full-length programs from Frontline, PBS Newshour and many, many others.

With this new app you can also check out scheduling details, previews, and a new tune-in reminder calendar that can be synced with iCal. You will have quick access to TV times and channels for your favorite PBS programs and now you can see what’s on your local station (KSPS) and what’s coming soon!

The PBS app makes a huge library from nearly 360 member stations and 1500 public media producers available for an on-demand experience. They are one of the first broadcasters to bring full-length video to the Apple products.

I downloaded it over the weekend and found out I could watch Austin City Limits song performances! How cool is that? PBS primetime programs like Need To Know, Nova and Secrets of the Dead are available too. And it’s not only current programs – you can also access PBS archives.

Check it out free from the App Store on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch! www.itunes.com/appstore.
