Last Updated by Dawn Bayman on

This morning, the nominees for the 2015 Prime Time Emmys were announced. Honoring the best in television over this past year, once again, PBS is well-represented with 29 nominations. Among them, Downton Abbey  and Wolf Hall with 8 each, including Outstanding Drama and Outstanding Limited Series respectively. And The Roosevelts, The Emperor of All Maladies, and The Last Days in Vietnam were also nominated.

The list of nominees from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences shows 29 nominations for PBS shows in virtually every category. That says a lot about the quality of our programming and the essential role we play in providing that place where you can be enlightened as well as entertained. Once again it proves that while sensationalism and stunts attract attention…substance still matters.

The Emmy’s will be awarded on Sunday September 20th.
