Last Updated by
KSPS public television is hosting a screening of the finale of Masterpiece | Victoria. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their Victorian best--including tiaras! After showing of the final episode, attendees can mingle and take a selfie with a 2-dimensional version of Her Royal Majesty.
The event will take place in two locations, simultaneously. Spokane viewers will join us at The Lincoln Center. Calgary guests will be hosted Calgary Folk Music Festival Hall.
If you haven't seen Victoria yet, it's not too late to catch up. In 1837, diminutive, neglected teenager, Alexandrina Victoria, is crowned Queen Victoria. She navigates the corruption, scandal and political plots of the Court, and soon rises to become the most powerful woman on the planet. Doctor Who's Jenna Coleman stars as Queen Victoria in the acclaimed series that follows the drama of the spirited, candid monarch who was perhaps the first woman who seemed to have it all.
Focusing on Victoria from the time she becomes Queen through her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert, the lush first season of Victoria dramatizes the reign and romance of the girl beneath the crown.
Victoria is part of Masterpiece (formerly Masterpiece Theatre), a drama anthology series produced by WGBH Boston. It premiered on PBS in 1971, making it the longest-running weekly prime time drama series in America. Masterpiece has presented numerous acclaimed British productions, many of which are produced by the BBC, including recent standouts Sherlock and Downton Abbey.
