Good News for Central Washington Translators!

Posted by Doug Minor on

The recent FCC channel spectrum auction has affected translators in the Wenatchee, Quincy and Moses Lake areas. The GOOD news is that translators are back on the air — just on new channels.

The translator in Wenatchee has been relocated to Ch. 17. Viewers will need to perform a rescan on their television sets to pick up the new channel.

In the Quincy area, the Ch. 50 translator was shut off and there was no replacement channel at the time HOWEVER…KXLY has been kind enough to share their translator with us. The translator is located on Wehatus Peak near Othello and should be able to service both Quincy and Moses Lake. KSPS, KSPS Create and KSPS World are all available but in Standard Definition only through this setup. A rescan will be necessary to pick up this Channel 43 signal.

Lastly – by February, Channel 46 in north Wenatchee will be shut down and the translator relocated to an as-yet-undetermined channel. Check back right here for future updates. Once again, we thank all of you for your patience and perseverance during this time of uncertainty and change.
