Omak . . . Oh, Man!

Last Updated by Doug Minor on

The first real winter in years is taking its toll on mountaintop translator sites this year. ALL of the Spokane television stations served by the Omak Mountain translator are off the air there as of now. Unfortunately for KSPS viewers, this key site outage means that 5 other "downstream" sites have been affected as well. This outage affects the communities of: Omak; Okanagan Valley; Tonasket; Mallot; Riverside; Chief Joseph; Chelan; and Manson.

It is too early to even guess when service may be restored. Our engineer is working feverishly to arrange for someone to access the site and make necessary repairs; but at this time, it is looking iffy at best until mountain conditions improve. We will keep you up-to-date right here as new information becomes available.
