Calling All Budding Novelists

…and journalists, essayists, poets and all other aspiring young writers: strut your stuff and win prizes in this years Young Writers' CONTEST!


There will be a first place winner for each grade category in the PBS Kids GO! Young Writers' Contest. Each first place winner will receive a literacy backpack filled with an assortment of games, books, DVDs and other cool items…and get their story published on the KSPS website. Each student author will receive a signed Certificate of Achievement for their participation.

Kids from Kindergarten through Third Grade are eligible. Write and illustrate a story. It may be fact or fiction, prose or poetry.

All entries and prizes will be judged at individual PBS stations.
