400 Years of the Telescope

tonight @ 7pm/8mtn

This program takes viewers on a
sweeping journey from 1609, when Galileo revealed mankind's place in the galaxy, to today's quests to discover new worlds in the infinite universe. Narrated by NOVA's Neil deGrasse Tyson, the program goes on an adventure through the heavens and around the globe, visiting the world's leading astronomers, cosmologists and observatories, providing viewers with a survey of possible astronomical discoveries waiting for mankind.

MIDSOMER MURDERS: "Written In Blood - Part Two."

tonight @ 8pm/9mtn

Gerald Hadleigh, the secretary of the writers circle in the quiet village of Midsomer Worthy, was never in favor of inviting the best- selling novelist Max Jennings to attend one of their meetings. When Hadleigh is found brutally battered to death, the other members of the circle wish they had heeded his reluctance. Barnaby and Troy discover that Hadleigh was a man of mystery, with no National Insurance number, no relatives and no marriage certificate to match the wedding photo on display in his house. When another body is found, they have a double murder on their hands.

Mi-5

tonight @ 9pm/10mtn

Tom received a tip-off from Christine Dale. She'd accidentally got hold of information that a known American assassin had been sent to Britain by the Iraqis. Apparently the CIA were determined not to let MI5 know, but she felt if there was a risk of the assassination of a major British figure then Tom ought to know. But he mustn't tell anyone else.

Finding Health Care in Hard Times' A Special Town Hall Meeting

watch online  take our survey

This special ‘town hall’ Community Forum focuses on ways to access health care in these trying economic times. Layoffs are leaving many families uninsured and vulnerable to bankrupting medical emergencies. Even those with jobs are often unable to afford medical insurance.

What help is available from government, business and health care providers? We examine the problem and provide a phone bank — staffed during and immediately after the telecast — to give viewers the chance to speak to expert counselors for personal assistance with finding health care.
