Born to learn: Brain Science and Early Learning (also available in Spanish) explores the fascinating science behind brain development and early learning. Some of the world’s leading authorities on the subject explain what’s going on in a baby’s brain. Although brain development begins before birth and continues throughout adulthood, the most rapid development occurs in the first three years of life. Through this documentary, parents, caregivers, and early childhood educators can get an inside look into babies’ brains and see how they work in action: how they grow, how the act and react to various stimuli—gaining a new perspective on early learning.

This learning resource guide includes a series of discussion questions to spark conversations around brain development in children and best practices for developing positive early learning experiences.
