			<description>Families can be part of an international community and experience the music and culture of Zimbabwe throughout the weekend of August 2-5&amp;nbsp;in Moscow, ID at Zimfest 2012. 

Thirty five great bands will be performing and over 100 workshops for all ages are available on the University of Idaho campus.&amp;nbsp; Bringing a blanket or chairs to Moscow&amp;rsquo;s Ghormley Park to enjoy free outdoor concerts and an African marketplace daily from noon to 5 pm. </description>

			<description>Tuesday August 21, 7:30pm enjoy an evening with local renown naturalist, author and teacher Jack Nisbet. Topic &quot;David Douglas in the Shrub Steppe&quot;

Scottish naturalist David Douglas spent much of 1826 collecting flora and fauna in the Columbia Basin. In mid-summer he traveled with a Hudson's Bay Company horse brigade from the mouth of the Clearwater River to Spokane House, following flood coulees and tribal trails on a route that took them close to Turnbull. In this powerpoint presentation we will look at some of what Douglas saw, and try to figure out how things have changed here over the past two centuries.

			<title>8/21 - Glenrose Community  Summer Market</title>

			<description>The Glenrose Community will sponsor a Summer Market event to kick off the opening of a new local farmer's market. Tuesday, August 21 2012 between 4-7pm in Spokane, WA. The event takes place at a Little Yellow Schoolhouse in the middle of an old farming neighborhood, once a shangri-la of small farms and orchards, a stone's throw from downtown Spokane. 

Local growers, artisans and musicians will share their locally grown vegetables, fruit, crafts, photography, glass art, herbs and medicinals. Also local musicians Mike Croon and Koyosulo, Veraci Pizza, The Scoop Ice Cream, Bouzies Bakery, and an old-fashioned Glenrose horse and buggy ride will be on site.

Millwood Daze will feature a 5-K dash, Pet Walk, Wagon Parade, classic car show, art festival, music, entertainment, tons of free games and activities for kids. Wrapping up with a free outdoor movie showing at 8 p.m. Proceeds from sponsorships, fees and the Pet Walk will benefit the Mid City Concerns Senior Center/Meals on Wheels Spokane program.</description>
