Country Care
Access to health care is something people in urban communities
take for granted; but what about those living in a rural
setting? Can they get the same quality of care? "The amazing
thing is that, in this region, the answer is 'yes'" said Health
Matters, Television for Life host and producer Steve Becker
about the upcoming installment entitled Country Care. "In many
rural and remote communities, an air ambulance service is the
front door to the emergency room," Becker added. "In others, a
24-hour, seven-day-a-week video link ensures that hospitals in
rural communities have 'round-the-clock contact with a
pharmacist. Necessity has truly been the mother of invention
throughout the Inland Northwest.
