KSPS Public Television
Presents
AQUIFER WORKSHOPS
KSPS Public Television
in partnership with the
Spokane Aquifer Joint Board is conducting
FREE in-class Aquifer Workshops throughout the school year for area
students in grades 1 – 7.
The workshops are
designed to raise awareness about the Spokane Valley-Rathdrum
Prairie Aquifer and the importance of protecting our drinking water.
Each workshop is
tailored to meet the needs of the individual class, depending on the
grade level and prior background knowledge of the Aquifer. Students
enjoy an hour of hands-on science activities and receive a literacy
packet containing material about the aquifer – including an
“aquifer-in-a-cup” experiment to take home.
There are a limited
number of workshops available. Workshops will be scheduled on a
first come, first served basis. If you are interested in holding an
Aquifer workshop at your school, please contact
In its ongoing mission
to BE MORE, KSPS endeavors to make a difference in the lives we
touch…not only through quality programming, but also by making
educational outreach programs and events available to the
communities we serve.
