KSPS Public Television Presents: Health Matters, TELEVISION FOR LIFE "Dental Health"

Thursday, March 21, 7 pm/8mtn

SPOKANE 12 March 2008 – Good dental hygiene is not only necessary to preserve one’s teeth; it also contributes to overall health. But anxiety over routine dental visits keeps some people away from their regular check-ups and increases their risk for everything from gum disease and tooth loss to diabetes. However, new technology and attitudes are making dental care less stressful while improving the odds that your teeth will stay with you for a lifetime.

Tune in Thursday, March 20 at 7pm/8mtn, when Health Matters: Television for Life brings you “Dental Health.” Host Steve Becker and a panel of experts will take your calls and share the latest in cosmetic enhancements. Guest panelists include Dr. Steve Crump DDS, Dr. Stephanie Combs DMD, Stack & Combs Orthodontics, and Dr. Trent Loiseau DDS, Dental Program Director, Spokane Falls Family Clinic.

KSPS presents Health Matters: Television for Life, in its ongoing mission to BE MORE—to be television that makes a difference…that changes people’s lives. For more information, contact KSPS at (509) 354-7800, or visit our website at www.ksps.org.

Next month, Health Matters: Television for Life examines the medical problems faced by overweight children and what parents can do to break the cycle of inactivity and poor food choices. Join us Thursday, April 24 at 7pm/8mtn, when we discuss “Childhood Obesity.”
