KSPS Public Television Presents:
Health Matters, TELEVISION FOR LIFE "Medicine Chest"
Thursday, February 21, 7 pm
SPOKANE 15 February 2008 – For generations, North
Americans have been raised on over-the-counter and
prescription medications for the treatment of everything
from headaches and the common cold to infections and
stress. But easy access does not always mean better
health. Left unattended, many medications can pose a
threat to young children and other members of the
household.
To find out how healthy the medicine cabinet is in
your home, tune in Thursday, February 21 at 7pm, when
Health Matters, TELEVISION FOR LIFE brings you "Medicine
Chest." Host Steve Becker and a panel of experts will
take your calls ‘live’ as they share tips and
information on how to make your medicine chest safe and
beneficial for the whole family. Guest panelists include
Steve Malek M.D. from the Emergency Department at
Kootenai Medical Center, Claire Brennan, Diversion
Investigator with the Drug Enforcement Agency in
Seattle, and Linda Garrelts MacLean, Pharmacist, CDE,
Chair and Clinical Associate Professor of
Pharmacotherapy at WSU Spokane.
