What changing health care will mean to you

June 20, 7/8 mtn.

Ready or not, the biggest overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system since the passage of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965 is underway. The official name is the Patient Protection and the Affordable Care Act but it’s often called ObamaCare. It was signed into law in March of 2010 and is being phased in. Right now, federal and state governments are bracing for the final switch in 2014, and there is lots going on to get ready. What does is it all mean and how will you be affected? Join KSPS for a special edition of Health Matters with an extended panel answering your questions on health care reform.

Live phone calls will not be taken during this program, but you can email or text your questions beforehand to healthmatters@ksps.org

This series focuses on health topics of great importance to our viewers and specific populations in our service region.

Once a month KSPS-TV produces a live call-in program addressing a specific illness and/or health concern, featuring local panelists (i.e. physicians and caregivers) who will share their experiences and expertise.
