I was born in Spokane, Washington to a military family. At the age of six, my family moved to Okinawa, Japan. I spent most of my years growing up in Okinawa. We also lived in Kansas, New Jersey and Baltimore, Maryland. I graduated from Kadena High School in Okinawa with a FULL basketball scholarship to Coppin State College in Baltimore, Maryland. I was the first female to get a Division One basketball scholarship at my high school.
Right after college, I landed a job at KXLY, working promotions and running cameras for Good Morning Northwest. I was asked to join the radio on air staff and eventually landed my own show. I eventually took over the afternoon drive on 92.9 ZZU where I have been for the last couple years.
After many years of trying to add TV to my resume, I finally made it! I recently took a position as a new host to KSPS/PBS channel 7 TV show, the Saturday Night Cinema! YAY!
