Paint-A-Helmut hosted by District 46 Kiwanis Clubs

The 16th annual Paint-A-Helmut hosted by District 46 Kiwanis Clubs will be held on April 26th, 2014, from 9am-2pm at the Spokane County Fairgrounds. Kids from 3-16 years old will receive a free fitted bicycle helmet that they will be able to personalize on site. There will also be a raffle to win 1 of two bikes. Read More

Northwest Sacred Music Chorale presents Spring Concert, BACH, BEETHOVEN AND BROADWAY

On Saturday April 26, 2014 at 7:00 PM and Sunday April 27, 2014 at 3:00 PM the Northwest Sacred Music Chorale in its fourteenth season will present its Spring Concert, BACH, BEETHOVEN AND BROADWAY, bringing the best in classical sacred, gospel, and Broadway choral music to the Inland Northwest. The Concert will be repeated at St. John’s Cathedral, Spokane, and the following Tuesday evening April 29, 2014 at 7:00 PM. An outstanding Chamber Orchestra, including strings, brass, woodwinds and organ, accompanies the Chorale in Beethoven’s Mass in C Major, Bach’s Sheep May Safely Graze and selections from South Pacific, Titanic and Les Miserables. Soloists include Lynette Ryan, soprano, of Spokane and members of the Chorale. Preceding each concert will be a lecture by Verne Windham of KPBX Radio, touching on the composition and historical context of the music as only Verne can do it. Read More

Friends of the Liberty Lake Municipal Library present A Time For Tea

The Friends of the Liberty Lake Municipal Library present A Time For Tea, theannual fundraiser to support the Summer Reading Program and other library needs. Saturday, April 26, from 12-2 p.m. at the Meadowwood Technology Campus in Liberty Lake. The Tea features unique tea food, a silent auction and local author, Dawn Nelson, who will share her experiences growing up on a ranch in the Northwest. Keyboardist, Seth Loman, will play a variety of 50's and 60's classics.  Read More

Aurora Northwest Rotary 21st Annual Lilac Century Family Fun Ride

The Aurora Northwest Rotary will be holding is 21st Annual Lilac Century Family Fun Ride this April 27th. This event is for all ages of riders. The shorter tours are ideal for a family outing.  The ride beginning at Spokane Falls Community College offers a variety of fun, scenic and challenging tours for every level of rider. Five tour lengths support all levels of riders and everyone will enjoy a free baked-potato feed at the finish. Tri-athletes may register for a Mike/Run “Brick” transition to a 5 K run from a secure bike holding area. All proceeds to benefit local charities supported by the Spokane Aurora Northwest Rotary Club. Read More
