Farmer's Market

Farmer's Market BoothDon't have space or time for a garden?

Check out the Farmer's Market! It's a yummy way to spend a few hours.

A Farmer's Market sell fruits and vegetables that are grown in your local area. Usually that means the produce is fresher, more nutritious and tastier than you would find in the grocery store.

Visiting the Farmer's Market is a great family activity. It's fun for kids to see and taste a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. They also get to meet the farmers who actually grow the food. Visiting with a farmer can be fun and informative. It helps connect us to our food and promotes a respect for the enormous effort it takes to grow healthy fruits and vegetables.

Buy your Veggies Naked!

Buy your veggies nakedThat's right! When you are shopping for fruits and vegetables, buy them naked, not packaged. Yup! Naked! You don't want to buy fruits and veggies that have preservatives and other things acting as clothes for them! When they are naked they are closer to their original lives growing in someone's garden! It's always better to put clean fruits and veggies that are straight from the ground on your table than buying them in packages with lots of preservatives in them.

So, eat lots of naked fruits and veggies. They're better for you.
