You’re invited to watch a preview of a new six-part documentary series coming to KSPS PBS this November. The American Revolution explores America’s founding struggle and its eight-year war for independence.

After the film screening, join us for a community conversation exploring the evolving meaning of liberty from revolutionary times to today and how liberty’s ideals can help address current political divides.

As America prepares to celebrate 250 years of independence, KSPS PBS invites you to think about the question: What does liberty mean to me?

Panelists:

Lisa Gardner, Spokane NAACP president and the director of communications and community engagement for the Spokane City Council

Lawrence B.A. Hatter, PhD, associate professor of history at WSU

Warren Seyler, a historian with the Spokane Tribe of Indians

Moderated by veteran Spokane journalist Dana Haynes
